About

WalGreens- Me Black and WhiteMy name is Sophia White and I am a passionate educator and leader. I knew from a very young age that I was born to teach, lead and inspire others. My first students happened to be my brothers, Kenneth and Jonathan. I can vividly remember playing the role of teacher on our back porch.

At the age of 14, my first summer job was a nursery daycare teacher and I have successfully worked as a highly qualified educator for over 10 years. I am currently working as an teacher for Montgomery County Schools. I have also worked as a School Administrator, Instructional Coach, mentor teacher and classroom teacher. I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Masters of Education in Education Administration and Supervision.

I strongly believe that each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. Educators must go the extra mile to help children to reach their purpose. In terms of leading and educating, I will probably be most remembered for the high expectations I have for those I instruct and lead. My most notable accomplishment to date was making school history. My students received the highest test scores in the school’s history based on the state’s standardized test.

My fundamental belief about learning is that it should be fun, explorative and engaging. Teaching methods can make that possible. I also enjoy the outdoors, working out, reading, writing, cooking, trying new activities and spending time with my family.
